1948年（昭和２３年）
このおもちゃの誕生は戦後の復興の中、先々代齋藤晴弘が上野動物園で熊の動きを見、その動きをおもちゃにしようと誕生。本体のブリキ缶は進駐軍から空き缶を集め、プレスで平らにし、カットした後、手で加工した、本体に印刷ができないため生地を張った、布帛（ふはく）でゼンマイの動力を使い。四足歩行をする初めてのおもちゃと云われている。ユーモラスな動きはからくり人形から継承されている
Walking-Bear
In 1948(Showa 23), this “Walking-Bear” is manufactured just after the World War II. Haruhiro Saito got an idea from motion of the bear in Ueno Zoological. At first, Mr. Saito collected empty cans from the Occupation Forces. He pressed those cans and made it one sheet. After he made the sheet, he cut them into pieces and formed in the bear shape. At that time, he could not print on the bear shape, so he used fabrics instead. It is called the first toy that carries out crawl by using flowering fern. The humorous motion is inherited from the windup doll
